Top 100 Songs Of 2000-2010 (#01-09)

This is my personal Top 100 Songs of 2000-2010. For me, the hardest decision was to decide among the last 20 songs as all of them are my favourites. After many thoughts, here is the final choice. I hope you'll enjoy it!

"Crazy in Love" is a song by American R&B singer–songwriter Beyoncé Knowles, featuring American rapper Jay-Z. Knowles, Jay-Z, and producer Rich Harrison wrote the song for Knowles' debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. The track features a sample from The Chi-Lites' 1970 song "Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)" that serves as the song's horn hook. Released on April 28, 2003 as the album's lead single, "Crazy in Love" has reached number one on the charts of United States and the United Kingdom, and the top ten of many charts worldwide. Its sales grossed 193,110 copies during the first week. "Crazy in Love" was critically acclaimed and has earned Knowles several awards. In 2009, British magazine NME voted the song as the best song of the decade. The song was also ranked at number three on Rolling Stone's 100 Best Songs of the Decade, number four on Pitchfork Media's list of The Top 500 Tracks of the 2000s, number seven on a list produced by The Daily Telegraph and number six on Slant Magazine's list of the 100 Best Singles of the Decade. The song won Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 46th Grammy Awards. "Crazy in Love" was ranked as the 118th greatest song of all time on Rolling Stone 's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.

"Umbrella" is a song by Barbadian R&B singer Rihanna, featuring a rap verse by rapper Jay-Z. The song was written by The-Dream, Christopher Stewart, Kuk Harrell and Jay-Z, and was produced by Stewart. It was released as the lead single for Rihanna's third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad. The track was released worldwide on March 29, 2007, and since its release, "Umbrella" has been covered by many artists worldwide and became a zeitgeist hit in pop culture. It is generally considered her signature song and achieved commercial success by topping charts in Australia, Canada, Germany, France, the Republic of Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as reaching the top ten in many other countries. In the United Kingdom it is deemed an iconic song and was one of the most played songs on radio in the 2000s. It managed to stay at number-one on the UK Singles Chart for ten consecutive weeks, the longest run at number one for any single of that decade. Following a successful chart performance worldwide and a positive reception from critics, the song is listed number three on the 100 Best Songs of 2007 published by Rolling Stone magazine.

"These Words" (also known as "These Words (I Love You, I Love You)") is a pop/R&B song written by Natasha Bedingfield, Steve Kipner, Andrew Frampton and Wayne Wilkins for Bedingfield's 2004 debut album Unwritten. The song is the album's opening track, and was released as its second single. "These Words" details Bedingfield's lack of inspiration and her reaction to pressure from her record label to produce a hit song."These Words" was released as the album's second international single and as the lead single in North America. The single sold well, reached the top forty worldwide, and topped the charts in both Ireland and the United Kingdom. It was certified platinum in the United States and Australia, and was nominated for "Best British Single" at the 2005 BRIT Awards. The song was very well received by music critics, and was frequently cited as a highlight of the
album.

"Human" is a song by American alternative rock band The Killers, and was released as the first single from the band's third studio album Day & Age. It premiered on Zane Lowe's evening show on BBC Radio 1 on September 22, 2008, with a digital release on September 30, 2008. It became the third song by the band to enter the top 5 of the UK singles chart. It was their first top ten hit in the Netherlands (peaking at #2). The song was released on a 7-inch picture disc throughout the world on various dates in November, with a B-side entitled "A Crippling Blow".
In the US "Human" debuted at number 13 on Billboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart, and has reached number six thus far. It is the band's sixth top ten hit on the chart. The song debuted and peaked at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 on the chart week of October 18, 2008, giving The Killers their third top forty hit there. It reached number 3 on the UK Singles chart and on the Canadian Hot 100, the song debuted at number nine. It debuted at number 34 on the New Zealand RIANZ chart, and entered at number four on the Norway Top 20 before reaching number one. "Human" reached the top ten on the Irish Singles Chart and in Sweden. The song debuted at number 48 on the Australian Aria Charts and peaked at number 28.

"Big Girls Don't Cry" is a song written by Fergie and Toby Gad for pop singer Fergie's debut solo album The Dutchess (2006). The song was released as the album's fourth single in 2007 (see 2007 in music) and topped the charts in several countries, most notably in Australia (for nine consecutive weeks—also becoming the number-one single in the ARIA's Year End Charts for 2007), and in the United States. It was the most downloaded track in the U.S., with sales of more than 3,080,000 copies sold. In July 2007, Fergie performed the song at the Concert for Diana and Live Earth. By the end of August 2007, the song became Fergie's third number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was nominated in the 'Best Female Pop Vocal Performance' category at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, which was held February 10, 2008. The song appears in Dance Dance Revolution X, Singstar Pop Vol 2, and Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore 2.The song was listed at #89 on Billboard: All-Time Hot 100 Top Songs and the 13th most successful song of the decade at the end of 2009 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. It was also named the 8th most successful pop song of the decade (Mainstream Top 40).

"Unfaithful" is a ballad written by Ne-Yo, Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen for R&B singer Rihanna's second album, A Girl like Me. It was produced by Stargate and released as the album's second single in mid-2006. "Unfaithful" reached number six on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in July 2006. The single was released July 17, 2006 in the UK and Australia where it was already available for downloads worldwide. It debuted at number sixteen in the UK Singles Chart on downloads alone one week prior to its physical release. The following week, July 24, it jumped to number two on the UK Singles Chart after a physical release (held off number one by Shakira and Wyclef Jean with "Hips Don't Lie"), becoming Rihanna's third number two hit in the UK, after "Pon De Replay" and "SOS". That same day "Unfaithful" debuted at number two on the ARIA Singles Chart. It reached number one on the Eurochart 100 and stayed in the top 3 for several weeks. "Unfaithful" sold over 4.5 million copies.The song has sold 2,727,000 paid digital downloads in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

"No One" is a song by American recording artist Alicia Keys from her third studio album, As I Am. Written and produced by Keys, Kerry Brothers, Jr., and George M. Harry, and released as the album's lead single in September 2007. This is overall Keys' biggest hit, having topped several singles charts, including the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for ten consecutive weeks. It is her second solo number-one single in the United States after 2001's "Fallin'". "No One" was ranked at number forty-two on The Billboard Hot 100 All-Time Top Songs and number fourteen on the Top Billboard Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. In 2009 the song was placed at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 decade-end chart.The song won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song at the 2008 Grammy Awards on February 10, 2008. During the ceremony, Keys performed it in a duet with John Mayer. "No One" was also the most listened song on U.S. radio of 2008 with 3.08 billion listeners.

"Apologize" (Marketed in many countries using the British English spelling "Apologise") is a song written by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder for OneRepublic's debut album Dreaming Out Loud. A remix version was included on the Timbaland album, Shock Value and on the deluxe version of Dreaming Out Loud. The song was the biggest radio airplay hit in the history of the Top 40 radio in North America, with 10,331 plays in one week, until its record was broken by Leona Lewis's "Bleeding Love," which was also co-written by Tedder. The song was a major hit internationally, reaching number-one in 16 countries, including Australia, Austria, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, Egypt, Turkey, and the Netherlands, as well as staying at number-one for eight consecutive weeks on the Billboard Pop 100 chart. The song charted in the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent thirteen weeks at number-one in Canada. The song has sold over 4,747,000 digital downloads in the United States to date. "Apologize" was ranked #50 on the list of the Billboard Hot 100's All-Time Top Songs list from the chart's first 50 years. It spent 25 consecutive weeks in the top 10, the longest stay there for any song since "Smooth," by Santana which spent 30 weeks in 1999. It was also ranked #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. It remains OneRepublic's biggest hit single in the USA to date, and their only one to reach the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

"Just Like a Pill" is a pop rock song by American singer Pink. It was written and produced by Dallas Austin and Pink for her second studio album Missundaztood. The lyrics of the song deal with getting out of painful relationships, with a subtheme about drug abuse. The song was released worldwide as the third single from Missundaztood in June 2002 and was a commercial success, peaking at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. It also performed well internationally, becoming her first number-one on the UK Singles Chart and reaching the top 10 in, amongst other countries, Ireland, France, the Netherlands and Sweden.
